CEU MODULE 101 ONLINE COURSE
THIS COURSE DOES NOT DUPLICATE ANY EXISTING CEU MODULE COURSES

The Connecticut Coaching Education Program has partnered up with the National Federation of High Schools to offer a .6 CEU Online Module Course.  Module 101 is designed to help coaches with the basic fundamentals of coaching and also reviews common CIAC regulations.  It will take you through a series of documents and present questions along the way to request immediate feedback. Questions answered wrong will take you back to the page where the correct answer can be found.  Coaches will be able to log in as their schedule permits and will be given up to 90 days to complete the course requirements. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS ONCE THE COURSE HAS BEEN PURCHASED.

MODULE 101 DETAILS - 6 HOURS

Time -Module 101 is designed to take at least 6 hours to complete, however depending on how it is approached it can take much longer. Research shows the average time needed to complete the module is 10.2 hours. Regardless of how many hours it takes you, the CCEP will only issue .6 CEU Credits (6hours) towards your State requirement to renew your permit. You may take this Module at your own pace and log in reach time to continue where you left off

Duration - You will have 90 days from the date you register to complete Module 101. An extension may be granted for extenuating circumstances.

Procedure -You will receive two confirmation e-mails for your registration. One is from the CCEP and is just a receipt and confirmation of your registration. The second message can take up to 24-48 hours to receive depending on when you registered. It will come from an address at NFHSlearn.com and will contain a link to accept the license you have been issued by the CCEP to take this class. You must wait to receive that e-mail before you can begin taking the class. Once you receive that message you can take the class by completing the following steps:
1) Click on the link in the e-mail that says
"accept_course_from_distribution". Do not click on any other link in the e-mail instructing you to register or sign in, just click on the "accept" link and you will be taken to the correct area of the site.Once you have clicked on the link below you will be taken to a payment page to begin the registration process for Module 101.
2) If your email is already registered with NFHSlearn.com you will need to log in to the site. If you have not previously registered with them you will be taken through a couple quick steps to do so (which will include entering some of the info you entered just now when paying for the course).
3) After signing in/or registering you will then see a message saying that your course has been successfully redeemed. You can then click on the "My Courses" link on their dashboard and take the course from there.
4) The entire course contains TWO components. The NFHS and the Connecticut component must be taken to complete the course. Ignore the NFHS progress bar that says 100% complete. That refers only to the NFHS section.

You should also note that the "certificate" from the NFHS site is not valid for CEUs in Connecticut. Once you complete both components of the course a form will appear directing you to submit final closure of the course and give you the option to print your official Connecticut CEU certificate.

Disclaimer - The National Federation of High Schools also partners with other states to offer different courses, and also uses the United States Sports Academy to issue CEU's to states who do not have their own regulations. ONLY THIS COURSE is being offered through the Connecticut Coaching Education Program and will ISSUE A CEU CERTIFICATE ACCEPTABLE TO THE CONNECTICUT STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION towards renewal of your Connecticut Coaching Permit. At this time NO other online course on the National Federation website will be accepted by the State of Connecticut.

Save and/or print a copy of this page for your records. A copy of this information has also been sent to the e-mail address you provided. If you have any problems accepting the license or taking the course AFTER YOU RECEIVE THE NECESSARY E-MAIL FROM NFHSLEARN.COM you can use the "Contact Us" form on the NFHSlearn site or call the helpdesk phone number (317-565-2023).
