|
||||||||
|
Connecticut State law and the Connecticut Department of Education require all coaches holding a coaching permit to renew it every five years. To qualify for renewal, you must maintain current First Aid and CPR certifications, complete all mandated requirements, and earn 15 hours of ongoing education (CEUs) within that five-year period. The Connecticut Coaching Education Program has designed these modules specifically to help you fulfill your 15-hour requirement. Steps to Renew Your Permit 1. Complete 15 Hours of CEUs: Finish your required coursework through our state approved modules offered in your district or online. Online Course Registration 2. Verify First Aid & CPR: Ensure your certifications are current and will not expire immediately after your application. NOTE: FIRST AID & CPR COURSES OFFERED STRICTLY ONLINE ARE NOT PERMISSABLE. 3. Complete the Proper Concussion Refresher: Verify that you have taken the mandatory concussion refresher course. Concussion Central 4. Submit Application: Fill out the ED 185 application for a coaching permit and mail it, along with all required attachments, to the address provided at the top of the form. State Dept. of Ed.
